Martha E. Jacobs 75 Oblong, Illinois died Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney, Illinois. Martha was born in rural Oblong, Illinois on December 3, l926 and was the daughter of Franklin Theodore and Golda Alice (Willson) Spade. On April 15, 1944 she married Herold W. Jacobs, he preceded her in death on July 1, 1988. Martha was a homemaker, her hobbies included quilting, gardening and canning. She was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church, Henpeck C.B. Club and the KJU Church Circle at the First Christian Church.

Martha is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Gerold and Karen Jacobs; daughters and son-in-law: Patty Jayne, Janet and Robert Littlejohn; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-children; two brothers and sisters-in-law: James T. and Frieda Spade, George and Norma Spade; several nieces and nephews.

Martha is preceded by her parents, husband, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, two brothers: Bill and a infant brother and two sisters: Velma Treadway and Blanche Brown.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
